IP66 Explosion Protected (Ex'e' and DIP rated) Enclosures for Hazardous Locations
Designed for hazardous areas where flammable gases, vapours or dust may be present, B&R have developed a range of Explosion Protected (Ex'e' and DIP) enclosures. All units have been tested by Safety in Mines Testing and Research Station (SIMTARS) to the requirements of: -
- AS2380.1
- AS2380.6
- AS/NZS 61241.1.1
All enclosures in the range are suitable for class 1, zone 1 hazardous areas and comply with temperature class T6.
Features

- DIN rail mountings included
- External earthing point
- Larger (NI style) enclosures feature threaded inserts for attaching mounting brackets and 7mm square key turnbuckle lock (powdercoated with stainless insert)
- Smaller (TE style) enclosures fitted with external mounting brackets and screw on lid with captive screws
- Enclosures clearly identified with Exe / DIP rating labels
- Complies with temperature class T6

Construction
- 1.2/1.5mm 316 stainless steel
- DIN rail for mounting terminals
- Polyurethane gasket (foamed in place)
