A First Major MSB Project, Backed by B&R
When Rewired Electrical took on the complete electrical fit-out of the new Fitness Cartel Toowoomba gym and wellness centre, they knew the project called for more than simply connecting a new facility to an existing electrical installation.

During the initial site inspection, the existing main switchboard was found to be outdated, internally located and no longer suitable for the requirements of the new development. A new solution was needed – one that could handle the additional load, meet current standards and provide the capacity and accessibility required for the future.

That’s where B&R came in.

Designing a Switchboard for the Future
Working closely with Rewired Electrical, B&R designed and manufactured a custom 400A Main Switchboard to support both the existing installation and the increased electrical demand of the new Fitness Cartel facility.

The existing MSB was relocated externally to a compliant location, improving accessibility while creating a more practical solution for future expansion.

The project also required careful coordination with the local energy provider around the network connection, planned power outage, energisation and final changeover. With a busy new gym waiting to open, minimising disruption and getting the changeover right was critical.

Why B&R?
Rewired had already been using B&R’s smaller switchboards and enclosures across their projects for years. So, when the opportunity came to design and manufacture their first major custom MSB, B&R was the natural choice.

For Rewired, Australian manufacturing was a key consideration. But just as important was the support they received throughout the project.
