The Role
We are seeking a business graduate (accounting/finance) to join our very busy Finance team at Heathwood (near Forest Lake). The role will work closely with, and report to, the Senior Cost Accountant. In the short term you will support the finance team and gain experience in;
Preparing weekly and monthly reports on factory performance
Accurate allocation of direct labour hours and costs
Stock and inventory tracking and reconciliation
Ensuring accuracy and quality of financial information
Using this as a base, the role will develop over time to provide accounting support and analysis for our three factories across Australia, including investigations of variances, providing higher level advice etc.
The Person
This role would suit an enthusiastic, mature minded graduate with at least one year experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar. You will have exceptional organisation skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks, identify priorities and work to deadlines. Logical thinking will be a critical factor in your success as well as an ability to communicate in a friendly and open manner with all employees.
In addition to the above, the successful candidate will have:
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong report writing
previous experience in a manufacturing environment
