The Role
This is busy and challenging cost accountant role, located at our busy manufacturing facility in Heathwood (near Forest Lake). The role will report to the Senior Cost Accountant and will work closely with manufacturing staff at the Heathwood facility as well as our interstate facilities, located in Adelaide and Sydney. There will times when interstate travel will be required.
Key responsibilities will include:
Analysis of manufacturing costs and variances
Preparing weekly and monthly reports on factory performance
Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
Supporting the stocktake process
Stock and inventory tracking and reconciliation
Ensuring accuracy and quality of financial information
The Person
We are looking for an experienced cost accountant with at least 2 years experience in a similar role. Manufacturing experience is essential, as is your ability to perform well under pressure. You will have exceptional organisation skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks, identify priorities and work to deadlines. Logical thinking and self motivation will be critical factors in your success, assisted by your friendly and open communication style.
In addition to the above, the successful candidate will also have:
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Experience working with multiple manufacturing sites
A high level of attention to detail and an ability to adapt to changing requirements
